Our love was the excitement of the first kiss, our love is the passion and the timeless joy, but also the warmth of your hand as we walk along; it was thinking about only you all day, but it is also stopping-even at my busiet-to ask how that meeting went. Our love was the anxiety and the craziness of those first moments, but it is also the serenity of our present. This love of yours and mine is our yesterday, our today and the hope of our tomorrow. This love, which has shown me the meaning of fulfillment, will last forever, because I cannot imagine it couls end in the brief span of my lifetime. But being human limited, I won't use future tense to name it. I do not own your future, I don't even own mine. I am only sure of one thing: You are the love of my life, and today... I love you forever. I don't know if we fell in love at first sight. But I do know that something magical happened the first time I saw you. Although you are not George Clooney or Brad Pitt, but to thisday, when I see you surrounded by people, I know that there is no greater magic than your piercing gaze seeking our mine. Do you remember the beginning? What a commotion, what a complete change in our lives, the risks we ran, the obstacles we had to overcome! Whenever I look back I realize that this improbable, intense love must have had an overwhelming power, strong enough to face anything. Now that I think about it... if you weren't around, I would go to the end of the world to find you. You are my constant challenge: the distant summit of that mountain that I yearn to climb; the mysterious depth that I just glimpse when I suberge; the lastcorner to explore without a path to guide me. With you it's impossible to think that I've accomplished everything and stop, finally to rest... That's why, loving you is-thnksully-an endless adventures. Today we know each other and we can both guess almost exactly what the other is thinking. Without you every act of my life would lose its meaning, I would drift without direction or destination, because while I don't hold you responsible for my dreams, you are the reason for every one of them. You don't hear me but sometimes whisper softly: Please...stay by my side, don't ever leave me!! I love you in so many ways: I love you joyously for the good times we share, I love you patiently, faced with those habits of yours, I love you with hope because there is still so much ahead of us, I love you passionately and even a little innocently, I love you with fear of losing you, and I love you with the confidence of knowing you are mine. I love you with the single condition:- That you love me too... Anyone knows us can see how different we are: the aviation industries versus hotel industries; the main course versus dersert; calm versus urgent; sentimental versus practical. But only we know that deep within our hearts, we are identical; we long for the same goals, we dream of the same paradise, and we are sure that this love was destined to be from the beginning of time. We found the subtle harmony of giving ourselves personal time and space, to find ourselves in solitude or to do whatever it is we like to do. This may be the key which allows us to enjoy the glory of each other's company so much.
